Substantial Gainful Activity is an earnings limit set by Social Security Administration. It refers to a level of work activity and earnings that shows you are able to engage in competitive work for pay.

  • In 2025, for non-blind individuals, the SGA amount is $1,620 per month.
  • In 2025, for legally blind individuals, the SGA amount is $2,700 per month.
